1. Service Description

SketchPatent is an AI-powered service that converts product photographs into patent-style technical drawings. The service is provided as-is and is intended to assist with patent illustration, not to replace professional patent attorney judgment on drawing adequacy.

2. Accounts & Credits

  • You must create an account and verify your email to use SketchPatent.
  • New accounts receive 2 free generation credits. No credit card is required for free credits.
  • Additional credits can be purchased as needed. Credits do not expire.
  • Each generation consumes one credit, regardless of whether you are satisfied with the result.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

3. Payments & Refunds

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. All purchases are final. We do not offer refunds for used or unused credits, as each generation incurs real computational costs. If you experience a technical failure that consumes a credit without producing a result, contact us and we will review your case.

4. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to your generated sketches. By uploading images, you grant SketchPatent a limited license to process them solely for the purpose of generating your patent drawings. We claim no ownership over your uploads or generated outputs. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use images you upload.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload illegal, harmful, or infringing content.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, abuse, or overload the service.
  • Create multiple accounts to obtain additional free credits.
  • Use the service for any purpose other than generating patent-related illustrations.

6. Disclaimers

SketchPatent generates drawings using AI. While we aim to meet USPTO 37 CFR 1.84 requirements, we do not guarantee that every generated drawing will be accepted by the USPTO or any other patent office. You should review all generated drawings with a qualified patent professional before filing. THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SketchPatent's liability is limited to the amount you paid for credits in the 12 months preceding any claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to patent application delays or rejections.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your uploaded images and generated sketches will be deleted within 30 days.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
