When you use SketchPatent, we collect:

  • Account information: Email address and password (or Google OAuth profile) when you create an account.
  • Uploaded images: Product photos you upload for patent sketch generation. These are processed by our AI pipeline and stored temporarily in Google Cloud Storage.
  • Generated sketches: The patent drawings our system creates from your uploads.
  • Usage data: Generation history, credit usage, and basic analytics to improve our service.
  • Payment information: Processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To generate patent sketches from your uploaded images using AI (Google Gemini).
  • To manage your account, credits, and billing.
  • To communicate service updates or respond to support requests.
  • To improve our AI generation quality and service reliability.

3. Image Storage & Processing

Uploaded images and generated sketches are stored in Google Cloud Storage associated with your account. Images are processed through our AI pipeline (Google Gemini) to generate patent drawings. We do not use your images to train AI models. You may delete your generated content at any time from your dashboard.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate SketchPatent: Google Cloud Platform (hosting and AI processing), Stripe (payment processing), and Firebase (authentication and database). These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.

5. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of your data.
  • Export your data in a portable format.
  • Object to or restrict processing of your data.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), Firebase Authentication, and Firestore security rules that enforce data ownership. Only you can access your uploaded images and generated sketches.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
